SoftGiken Launches ‘YubiOn FIDO2 Server Service,’ Enabling the Fastest Cloud‑Based Passkey Integration for Web Services — Bringing Zero‑Phishing Security to Every Service —

September 8, 2025

To all members of the press,

SoftGiken Co., Ltd. (President: Norio Fujita, established in 1983), provider of the YubiOn authentication security solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of “YubiOn FIDO2 Server Service,” a new offering for service providers that enables easy and rapid integration of passkey (FIDO2) authentication into web services and applications. The service will be available starting September 8, 2025.

This service is built on a server officially certified by the FIDO Alliance (Certification date: March 11, 2019). With an intuitive management interface and developer‑friendly APIs and SDKs, it empowers service providers—especially those who previously faced technical or cost barriers to implementing passkeys—to adopt next‑generation, phishing‑resistant authentication compliant with global standards easily.

Background of the Development

In recent years, passkeys—a passwordless sign‑in method that uses biometric authentication on smartphones and PCs—have rapidly gained popularity. Because passkeys do not store passwords on the server, they significantly reduce the risk of data breaches and are recognized as a highly effective authentication method against phishing attacks.

However, implementing passkeys requires specialized technical knowledge, and for many small businesses and startups with limited engineering or financial resources, adding passkey support to their own services remains a major challenge. To address this, Soft Giken developed “YubiOn FIDO2 Server Service” as an API service focused entirely on ease of use. By adopting this service, providers can greatly reduce development costs while delivering a safe and seamless login experience to their users.

Key Features of “YubiOn FIDO2 Server Service”

1. Simple passkey implementation with APIs and SDKs

By using the SDK, developers can implement passkey registration and authentication flows by adding only a few lines of code. Development that previously required weeks or months can now be shortened drastically, enabling the fastest possible deployment.

2. Redesigned, easy‑to‑use management console

The management console—where service onboarding begins—is designed with developer usability as the top priority. Everything from RP (Relying Party) registration to API key issuance and various settings can be completed through intuitive operations.

3. API log monitoring

The console allows quick and easy verification of API usage and logs. It supports monitoring service activity and enables rapid troubleshooting when needed.

4. Pricing plans starting at free

A free plan is available, ideal for individual developers and feature testing. As service needs grow, providers can upgrade flexibly—making the service especially accessible for startups.

5. FIDO Alliance‑certified server platform

The underlying FIDO2 server obtained official FIDO Alliance certification on March 11, 2019. Providers can rely on a globally standardized, highly trusted authentication infrastructure.
